Sorry it has been a while since I posted. Had to take Mom to the hospital to get some more tests done and stayed with her Thursday and Friday. Took Shekinah to camp in Danville and evidently she is having the time of her life. She called last night and said she has really been blessed and the Lord has really moved on her and is looking forward to tonights service. I am so glad for her. I am still debating on going up there tonight to visit. It is an hour and a half drive. I am just so pooped. I want to go…

Painted some of the dining room expect behind the hutch and above my window where I cannot get the dadgum fixtures from the curtain rods undone! Dadgumit! So I am waiting on honey to get home so he can take it down and move the hutch for me so I can finish painting. I ordered some curtains…wanna see?Â
These are for my dining room. The plan again is to make everything open and light and airy…since my home is small I want muted bright colors to tie it all together. I am so excited about getting it finished!!!! Silas’ first birthday is the 12th and I want everyting done before then…I think I can do that. Our anniversary is coming up too…I just now remembered that…I am debating on trying to scedule anything or see if he does for once. I am thinking let him do it. I mean, after 14 years, it would be nice if he planned something instead of me…what would you do? Take my poll over there<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Shekinah has her 13th birthday coming up as well. I think my mother and I are going to go in togother and buy her a digital camera. Off ebay of course. LOL I think she will feel like the bees knees…turning into a teen, getting a digi cam and the outlaws are getting her a prepaid cell phone…not what I want for her as I do not think kids need cell phones…but she is all excited about it and we are going to limit her with it. No taking it to church. Period. She can only use it when she is gone with the young people and maybe a little more…but that is it. I am just old fashioned that way I guess. But I think she will love these gifts rather than another outfit we usually try to get her.

Well, got some new pics for ya to look at…I did NOT photograph the muss…no way. I am not that brave. Someone will call human services on us! *snort* Anywho, we are getting there though. I have to paint the walls in the kitchen, dining room and living room. Get some curtains for the dining and living rooms. Lamp shades for living room and chandelier for dining room…wainscotting for dining room, outlet, ect, ect ect…wanna see what IS done though? The cabinets! I got some canister sets and cookie jar and decorative plates to go in the kitchen from Cracker barrell 75% off peeps! yeah! I am doing my kitchen in light blue, white and cast iron. I will definitely take pics when it is all done in the next couple of weeks. I want this all done before Silas’ birthday in 2 weeks. Ok, here is a pic…you can see more by going to my flickr badge to the left there…<<<

Ok, so am I a glutton for punishment or WHAT, peeps? *sigh* You know these home makeover and redo projects always look so stinking easy! WRONG! We are painting my kitchen, dining room and living room. I am also painting the kitchen cabinets. Was going to paint my countertop…heard one could do that…BUT, I do not think so, thank you very much!?!?! SO! Now we are looking at prices for another countertop AND a sink…urgh.
Anywho, I am sitting here frustrated…my house is a wreck…guys, I am talking a wreck!!! I would take a pic but I am too pooped to get up and and take a pic then upload it and fix and crop it…see? Too much work. So your imaginations are
gonna have to trust me on this one.
You know, all the gumption it took me to finally get to change that stupid town sign to ‘I Smel” and they take it down the next day! Now there is nothing on there at all. Guess they got tired of changing, LIMES, MILES and all the other stuff
back to SMILE…

Anywho, other than that, I am trying to get settled down and get some time to get the school year all finaggled and figured out for the girls. I want the whole year planned out. What month we are doing science projects, ect…then I will feel so much more organized and more peacful! Which always helps! I think I am going to have the girls memorize all US presidents. I got to thinking that most people do not know them…(myself included) so I want to do that this year. Shekinah WILL learn the Gettysburgh Address this year and recite it or I am a monkey’s uncle. (no jabs from the peanut gallery, Chrysalis!) I also think we are going to use several different curriculums this year as well. I will put on here what we settle on. I always like to see what people use so I will do that in case anyone cares. *snort*
Ok, storming up a storm here…(pun intended) So I better get off here…(man am I on a roll today or what? I just crack myself UP sometimes, I tell ya!)

Welp, hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend. We did. Did not do anything…went to Seymor to see their fireworks and Allan stayed home that day and played games with the kids and guess what I did? SLEEP! Yeah, you read it right! I slept. It was wonderful! I forgot what that word meant…now I need about a million and one hours of catchup sleep left and I will be good to go!
Well, the business Allan was selling to buy our van in a couple of months fell through. I know this sounds pessimistic, but I knew it would. *sigh* I am angry and upset and know I should put it in God’s hands…He knows we need a van. I guess I am pouting and relishing throwing a pitty party, truth be known. Why do we (I) do that? Do I think God will not help us? (I know He will) Does He know our needs? (of course He does!)
We need to purchase curriculum for the girls this year as well. Shekinah is doing State history this year so I may be able to just go to the library to get books on Indiana for that…I want to incorperate Brock and Bodie Thoene’s books into our curriculum as well for historical fiction and also literature. I just love these authors! They are my favorites!
I was wanting to go to the Farmers Market in Indianapolis today but did not make it… I will try to go next week I guess.
Trying to figure out what to fix for supper…actually Max & Erma’s ribs sound SOOOO good but it is just too expensive…
Why is it I focus so much on money? I need to stop that. I guess because we always need it and never have any. Ya reckon? Pray for me. I am gonna get off here…I am just in a mood I suppose.
